Real Property, Trust and Estate Section Has a Plan For Improvement

Unknown-6The Real Property, Trust and Estate Section of the American Bar Association just adopted a strategic plan to increase membership, to use the section resources more efficiently, and to provide more value to section members. The mission of this Section is “to improve the law, to enhance the skills of lawyers and the address the needs of the profession and the public in the areas of practice served by the Section.”

The Section wants to provide more educational opportunities to members, non-member lawyers, and other professionals. They also want to attract more members to provide diverse viewpoints on the law, to improve the financial situation of the Section, and to provide more networking opportunities.

There will be committees within the Section delegated to achieve the goals and then the planning committee will evaluate whether each committee was furthering the Section’s goals. The plan can be molded to the evolving needs over time if need be.
