Caretaker Leaves 95-Year-Old Woman Alone in Car to Gamble
According to police, Mary Holly, a female caretaker at Boca Raton, left a 95 year old woman in a car for two hours Sunday while she gambled at a casino. The 95 year old woman suffers from dementia but was unharmed during the two hours she was left alone in the car. Holly is charged with one count of negligence of an elderly person.
A visitor to the casino noticed the elderly woman sitting alone in the car for at least an hour and called police. According to the police report, Holly left the woman alone without food, water, or a cell phone. A judge has prohibited Holly from caring for any other patients until the resolution of her criminal case.
