The IRS is present on social media sites such as twitter and facebook, and they also have an app called, IRS2GO. The first version of the app was introduced in 2011 and had more than 350,000 downloads. The IRS created the app in effort to serve taxpayers in the progressing world and it expects many more downloads this year.
The app gives people information about their taxes and has channels on a wide range of topics including how to get a refund status, how to get your tax record, and general news releases from the IRS.
