Physical Activity Can Reduce Dementia-Related Deaths

UnknownMedicine & Science in Sports & Exercise recently published a study that indicates physical activity could reduce the risk of dementia-related deaths. Researchers grouped 45,000 men and 15,000 women between the ages of 20 to 88 years into three fitness categories: low, middle, or high. Seventeen years later, researchers followed up and found that 4,050 of the participants died. 164 of those deaths could be attributed to dementia, and of those 164 deaths, 123 came from the low fitness group.
