Trust Left to Padma Lakshmi’s Daughter

Business mogul Teddy Forstmann was romantically linked with host of “Top Chef” Padma Lakshmi for several years prior to his death. Padma gave birth to Krishna Lakshmi while the two were together, but Forstmann was not the father, Adam Dell, brother to Michael Dell, was.  

Forstmann died last November with an estimated worth of $1.8 billion and left a trust fund for Krishna. Even though he wasn’t her biological father, he always played the role of father to Krishna. Fortsmann’s will refers to Padma as his friend and forgives all debts she owed him. The terms of the trust remain secret, but the will was approved on February 6 in surrogate court.
