Two Men Arrested For Attempting To Steal Friend’s Body From Crematorium

Two men attempted to steal their friend’s body from a crematorium last week, but the two men ended up breaking into the wrong building. The two men took a taxi to the Santa Cruz Memorial Cemetery, jumped a fence, and then attempted to break into the Cemetery’s office—not the crematorium where the body was located.

The men have not stated the name of their deceased friend nor the reason for their attempt to steal the body. The damage done to the Cemetery’s office doors will total around $2,000. One of the men is facing a charge of public intoxication while the other is facing a charge of attempted burglary.
