Affluent Individuals Giving Modestly

Many wealthy individuals give modestly to charity. One Phoenix study surveyed 2,100 individuals last month. The study shows that nearly 40% of households with income greater than $150,000 only give $1,000 to $5,000 per year. 1/3 of the households give at least $5,000. Only 17% give over $10,000 annually. 30% of the people surveyed give to actually help those in need, while less than 5% only give to receive a tax deduction.
