Dick Clark Underwent Prostate Surgery Day Before Death
According to Dick Clark’s death certificate, he underwent prostate surgery the day he died from a heart attack. Doctors were treating benign prostatic hyperplasia — a procedure usually performed when it is difficult to urinate because the prostate is enlarged. The certificate notes that Clark suffered from acute urinary retention, and coronary artery disease, but he died from a heart attack.
