Lutfi Suit Against Britney Spears and Parents Is Going to Trial

Sam Lutfi filed a lawsuit against Britney and her parents that is likely to go to trial this fall. Lutfi is suing the family for libel, defamation, and breach of contract stemming from the book Lynne wrote about Lutfi’s role in Britney’s life on the road to her public meltdown. The trial is set to begin on September 11 and will last for twelve days. Britney’s parents refuse to settle in the lawsuit because they want to defend themselves against these allegations. Lynne, Jamie, and Sam Lutfi are reportedly testifying in the trial.

In the backdrop, the judge working on Britney’s conservatorship is likely to appoint Britney’s fiancé to be one of her co-conservators. Once that is made official, Britney will formally become a judge on The X-Factor. Simon Cowell was the one who suggested that Trawick assume the conservator role.
