More on the Dispute Over Caroll Shelby’s Body

As I have previously discussed, the children and estranged wife of Caroll Shelby are in a dispute over what should be done with his remains.

Now, there I have learned more information about what Mr. Shelby wanted his children to do with his remains. Mr. Shelby requested that he be cremated, and that his ashes be divided equally among his living children. Mr. Shelby also wanted one of those equal portions to be buried within his family’s burial plot. These plans were placed within the document that he supposedly created in 2008. It is this document that gives his eldest son the power to make funeral arrangements and decide what happens to his body. I originally discussed how his estranged wife thought she should control what happened to his body because they were still technically married at the time of his death. Now, his wife is also claiming that in August of 2010, Shelby executed a health care power of attorney that assigned her as the primary health care decision maker.
