The Wake Forest University School of Law operates an Elder Law Clinic that addresses the legal issues of elderly citizens within their community. The students within this clinic helped their clients on a number of legal issues, ranging from executing power of attorney to solving problems that involve domestic violence. The students were also engaged in helping their clients with debts problems, and helped one with a Medicaid issue. These students were also engaged in helping their community by educating them about the elderly citizens living within assisted living facilities.
