Taxidermist Preserves Pets
Pet lovers bring their pets to taxidermist Anthony Eddy for him to preserve their beloved companions. His business is one of the few in the country that specializes in pet taxidermy and he has a two-month long waiting list.
Eddy started out in traditional taxidermy, originally using the freeze-dry technique to presever mounted turkey heads for hunters. In the mid-1990s, he realized that method could also work for pets.
Eddy receives two to three pets every week and charges $850 for pets under 10 pounds and $40 for every additional pound over that.
