Protecting Female Inheritance In Islam

Inheritance is a very sensitive issue inIslamic Law because it is often confused with different traditions. As a result, manywomen are not given their full inheritance rights. Recently, female participants of the“Women, Commercial Inheritance and Family Rule” conference created anindependent body to protect their legacies. This independent body functionsmuch like a judicial proceeding and encourages the protection of femaleinheritance. The conference highlighted women’s rights and how a speedyinheritance can prevent family battles. Additionally, the conference focused onthe female role in the economy and how valuable it is for women to create strategicalliances.
