Attorney Accused of Pilfering $300,000 from Trust Fund

Macomb County attorneyRobert Buschmohle is accused of stealing over $300,000 from a trust fund set upby Derek Tate for his two sons.  Tatedied of cancer in 2007 and his sons have since learned the trust fund has beendrained.

Mother IIlona Mossopcontacted the police after Buschmohle failed to return their calls once theTate brothers reached the distribution age of 19.  Buschmohle is believed to have drained the fundby writing multiple checks to himself within a 4-year period.

Buschmohle has since beendisbarred, ordered to pay over $462,000 in restitution, and now awaits histrial in August.
