Elder law focuses on the legal needs of the elderly andthose with special needs.  Elder lawprimarily concerns estate planning, probate, guardianship, Medicare, Medicaid,veteran’s benefits, and retirement planning. 

Elder law attorneys commonly advise clients about financinglong-term care as well as disability planning. Resident’s rights advocacy and fiduciary representation are other commonaspects that elder law attorneys must deal with.
