Latest Jackson Single “This Is It” Written By Michael Jackson and Paul Anka

As I have previously discussed, since Jackson’s death, his executor’s team found personal videos of Jackson preparing for his last tour in his belongings. Using those compilations, producers made a movie called “This is It.“ To date the movie has brought in $500 million dollars. 

Now, “This Is It” is paying big bucks to Paul Anka. Originally, the song was advertised as if Michael Jackson single handedly wrote it. After a while reports started coming out that “This Is It” was not an original by Jackson. Both Jackson and Anka wrote the song 26 years ago. The Jackson estate will be paying Anka money and giving him credit. Anka will be recieving half of all of the royalties for the song. Moreover, Anka will be given fees for any licenses given for commercial use.
