Lawyer Steals Life Savings From Man Dying of Leukemia

Attorney Ken Hoesch has received over six years in prisonand has been ordered to pay $1 million in restitution after being caught takingover $800,000 from multiple victims.

In a particularly despicable act of betrayal, Hoesch embezzled the estate of a man diagnosed with leukemia.  Hoesch wasmade the administrator of Vernon’s estate after Vernon learned he would soondie.  Because his family hadalways used him, Vernon trusted Hoesch, but Hoesch apparently withdrew all ofthe money from Vernon’s trust in $30,000 increments just two weeks afterVernon’s death.

Hoesch is believed to have used the money he stole for expensive trips and an art collection.
