Benefits You Should Take the Time To Understand

BenefitsEmployees should take a minute andunderstand their benefits. Sometimes employees might unintentionallyoverestimate their benefits worth, which could leave loved ones in a vulnerableposition. Forbes has listed commonly misunderstood benefits, below are aseveral of them. People with these types of benefits should make sure tounderstand the full extent of protection and coverage.

  1. Disability insurance from an employer
  2. Life insurance from an employer
  3. Retirement plans where employers matchpart of your contributions
  4. Contribution rate escalator
  5. Health savings pre- tax accounts
  6. Stock plans from an employer

Making sure you know the pros and cons ofall of your benefits will allow you to maximize the advantages to them andbring your attention to their pitfalls.
