One Billion New Genealogical Records Digitized

FamilytreeSince LDS Church’s Granite Mountain Records Vault in Utahhas been completed, the safe has protected billions of genealogical records inits climate-controlled environment. Now, a $60 million dollar deal betweenFamilySearch International and Ancestry.com will sift through 1 billion recordsand make them public. The two providers of genealogical research are looking atother opportunities to collaborate and share records. People interested infamily history should have more access to more information. The LDS Church iscontinuing its research in collecting more genealogical information worldwide.
