US Airways Sued for Losing Ashes

Awidow is suing US Airways after the airline allegedly lost her husband’s ashes. 

AngelineO’Grady was flying from Philadelphia to England in order to scatter his ashesat a cemetery in his homeland.  She wasallegedly informed by the TSA at the security checkpoint that she could notboard the plane with her husband’s ashes because they weren’t a solidsubstance.  She proceeded to check thebag containing her husband’s ashes after presenting her husband’s deathcertificate and labeled container in order to identify to any personnel the invaluablenature of the bag’s contents.

Afterarriving in Hull, England, she discovered the ashes were missing from the checkedbag.  US Airways has still failed toreturn the ashes or offer an explanation for their disappearance.
