Spongebob Headstone Controversy

Sponge-bob

A Spongebob Squarepants headstone is causing quite thecontroversy in Cincinnati.

Kimberley Walker was an Army corporal and huge Spongebobfan.  At age 28, she was found slain in aColorado Springs hotel room.  Her familyspent $13,000 each for two Spongebob headstones, the other for Walker’s twin sister, and also obtained copyright approval from Nickelodeon.

The day after the headstone was erected, cemetery staffcalled the family to inform them it would have to come down.  The family did get prior approval from thecemetery to erect the headstone, but cemetery officials said the approvingemployee made a mistake.

Cemetery president Gary Freytag says he is willing to do whateverthe family thinks is best, except for reinstalling the monuments.  The family just wants the headstones put backup.
