Edkoch

Former mayor Ed Koch’s furniture and art collection has been auctioned off and his books and correspondence with heads of state are scheduled to be sold on November 25.

In February, the three-term New York mayor died at the age of 88.  Highlights of the first auction include his favorite burgundy leather chair and ottoman, a dining room set designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, a lithograph by Frank Stella, and a group of three ancient pottery vessels.

Highlights in the upcoming auction include letters from Harry Truman, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Margaret Thatcher, and Yitzhak Rabin.
