Family Sues for Botched Burial

Casketlowering

Deborah Medellin is suing a Dallas funeral home for horribly botching her husband’s burial.  She claims Laurel Land Funeral Home and Cemetery failed to adequately train its employees and adequately stabilize the casket.

When her husband’s casket began to slip and fall violently into the plot, the two employees in charge of lowering the casket “apparently looked at each other, began to smirk and laugh, and ran from the premises leaving the family, friends, and acquaintances in total disbelief and humiliating the family.”

To make matters worse, three family members were injured after jumping into the grave to right the casket and prevent the body from falling out.
