Hawaii House of Representatives Pass Marriage Equality Act

An amended version of “Hawaii Marriage Equality Act of2013” was passed Friday night. After much delay by members in opposition,the Hawaii House of Representatives passed the bill 30-19 with two legislatorsexcused. The governor’s office released the following statement “I commendthe House of Representatives for taking this historic vote to move justice andequality forward.” The Senate is now reviewing the proposed amended bill.
