Indiana Guardians Can’t Dissolve Marriages
InMcGee v. McGee, the Indiana Court of Appeals reaffirmed that Indiana statutesdon’t authorize guardians to file petitions for dissolution of marriage onbehalf of their wards.
Indianastatutes do allow guardians to make decisions for the benefit of incapacitatedpersons, but the filing of petitions for the dissolution of marriage is not oneof those decisions.
