Consider Including Digital Assets in Your Estate Plan

Margaret Van Houten of the Davis Brown Law Firm advises people to consider including their digital assets in their estate plan.

Digital assets, such as domain names, Bitcoins, and internet sales sites, may have significant financial value, and other digital assets, such as photos and videos, may have tremendous sentimental value. Individuals should be aware of the sentimental and financial value of their digital assets and ensure fiduciary access to those assets by including them in their estate plan.
