The New Mexico Supreme Court issued a unanimous ruling today, making New Mexico the 17th state to legalize same-sex marriage.

The issue reached the supreme court after all 33 county clerks in the state petitioned to have the issue decided on a statewide basis.  The ruling could go into effect immediately.
