IRS Globetrotting

Palm-tree-on-island-hi

In just a 24-day span which ended on December 19, some of the world’s most notorious overseas tax havens have signed agreements with the IRS to help it implement FATCA.  Deals with more countries are reportedly in the works.

The eight jurisdictions that have agreed to provide the IRS with information about U.S. taxpayers are the Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Malta, Bermuda, and the Netherlands.
