New ‘Get Transcript’ Application

The IRS recently launched a new application which allows taxpayers to directly view, print, and download tax return and account transcripts.  After answering a few security questions, taxpayers will be able to download three years’ worth of tax information.

The Tax Return Transcript provides most line items for your original transcript while the Account Transcript provides basic information such as type of return filed, marital status, AGI, taxable income, credits, assessments, and payments.
