Trend Reveals Baby Boomers Are Declining Nursing Home Care
Recently, the Washington Post published an article about the increasing number of baby boomers in D.C. that are declining nursing home care and instead choosing to have medical services at home. Baby boomers eligible for Medicaid can receive those services paid out by Medicaid at home. Others might be able to receive home care financial assistance through the Office on Aging. Additionally, the Affordable Care Act has increased the Medicaid benefits for elderly individuals living at home.
