For the past three years, Elizabeth Marquardt, Amy Zeittlow, and Naomi Cahn have been involved in a project to determine the attitudes of children of Baby Boomers in how they care for their ageing parents. One of their discoveries included finding that the applicability of the commandment to honor their parents was one believed by all the children. How much they followed the command depended on the child’s individual relationship they had with their parent.
