Baby Boomers May Experience Difficulty Due to Grieving Differently
Baby Boomers are forging a new frontier when it comes to dealing with the loss of their parents. They are less likely to opt for traditional funerals for their parents, and grieve in different ways than past generations. This can make it difficult for them when they are confronted by others that are surprised by their seemingly non-conforming grieving habits. There are three things about grieving to keep in mind so that the process is not further burdened by fears that it is not being done right:
- It is ok to not be consumed by grief
- Grief can be in moments that come and go
- Grief is not organized into stages for everyone
