Contested Bequest of Millions to Police Sergeant May be Settled Soon
As I have previously discussed, shortly before Geraldine Weber died at age 93, she signed a new will that cut out previous heirs in favor of new heirs. A challenge to $2.7 million left to Police Sergeant Aaron Goodwin, which includes allegations of undue influence, may be settled soon. If a settlement agreement is reached the agreement with go to the probate court for approval, otherwise the case is scheduled for trial in January. The Police Commission for Portsmouth, New Hampshire announced that an independent review will be done to investigate the circumstances of the inheritance left to Goodwin.
