Giving is Up, Planning is Low for Charitable Giving

BagTwo recent studies on charitable giving practices of wealthy individuals reveals that not only is giving on the rise but is not expected to drop. The two studies, one by U.S. Trust and one by UBS Investor Watch looked at the giving habits of individuals that had at least $1 million in investible assets.  According to the UBS study a very low number of individuals plan their giving, only nine percent, and 23 percent reported that they give when asked to do so.
