Scaife Children Accuse Father of Misusing $210M Trust Fund

Scaife

Late billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife’s children are accusing their father of misspending a $210 million family trust fund to keep his newspaper printing.

Jennie and David Scaife say their father began funding the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review with trust fund cash in 2000, and when he passed away in July, they discovered the fund was empty.  While they are unsure as to where the money went, they are assuming it was used for the newspaper.  The executor of Scaife’s estate denies the fund was misused.
