Mansion Held By Aristocrat Family for 900 Years Sold
The Tottenham House, a 100-room mansion that sits on 800 acres in England, has been in Lord Cardigan’s family for 900 years since receiving the property from William the Conqueror. Lord Cardigan lost his attempts to block the sale of the property by Savernake estate trustees in an appeals court decision earlier this year. The property, which once was the location of Jane Seymour’s home, sold for close to £12 million and is expected to be turned into luxury flats after renovations are completed.
