Owner of New Orleans Saints Seeks To Block Trust Distributions

The saga concerning the estate of tycoon and Saints owners Tom Benson’s estate continues as Mr. Benson is seeking permission of the court to block distributions from a trust fund he set up. The trust, first set up in 1980 upon his first wife’s death, is seeking to make distributions for the upkeep of property and to pay for renovations that were made to a summer home in 2014. The controversy has centered around the capacity of Mr. Benson as he seeks to leave much of his fortune to his third wife rather than children and grandchildren from previous marriages. No ruling has yet been issued but I will keep you updated on this story.
