Children Of Shipping Magnate Sued For Withholding Inheritance
The children of prominent shipping broker Robert J. Pierot Sr. have been sued by the their father’s widow for stopping payment of a settlement annuity. The couple was married only a short time before Mr. Pierot’s death though his children claim the marriage was invalid. The agreement gave his widow $5,000 per month for life in exchange for dropping any claim to the estate. No date has been set for trial.
