Thanks to new digital technology people are now able to manage their social security accounts online using a ‘my Social Security account.’ There are more than 18 million Americans who already have these digital accounts, and there is a new account being opened about every six seconds. These new digital accounts will give consumers the tools to manage the complex issues surrounding social security from the comfort of home. This column contains more information on how to set up and manage an online social security account.
