Tom Benson Might Testify In Competency Case

I have previously discussed the ongoing case involving the mental competence of New Orleans Saint’s owner Tom Benson.  Judge Kern Reese will decide on whether to compel Mr. Benson to testify in his competency case.  Benson’s estrange relatives have filed a motion to compel testimony, they are seeking an “interdiction,” which is a form of legal guardianship “that would put them in charge of his business affairs.” The lawyers for Mr. Benson would like to exclude testimony.  The trial is ongoing and Judge Kern Reese will decide on the motions that have been filed by both parties.
