Warren Buffett Donates $2.8 Billion To Bill And Melinda Gates Foundation

Billionaire philanthropist Warren Buffett has announced that he is donating $2.8 billion worth of stock to charities linked to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  Since making a pledge in 2006 to donate most of his wealth Warren Buffett has made a large number of substantial donations to charitable causes.  The Gates foundation supports important causes that deal with health and education in many different parts of the world.  Warren Buffett and Bill Gates would both like to influence other wealthy individuals to pledge to give away most of their wealth to charity.
