Antiquity Fraud Alleged By Nina Wang Estate Administrators

Article PictureThe estate of Nina Wang has filed suit against several antique dealers claiming they sold her bogus relics between 2004 and 2006. Mrs. Wang gave the dealers approximately $52 million to purchase antiquities, including vessels from the Chinese Han dynasty which ruled from 200 BCE to 200 CE, which were later determined to be fakes. This is not the first controversy surrounding the estate, however, with the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeals deciding a recent case concerning a charitable foundation set up by Mrs. Wang. As of now, no court date has been set.
