Former Wife Contests Will Of Baseball Hall Of Fame Legend Ernie Banks

Ernie banksThe estranged wife of former Chicago Cubs player Ernie Banks is alleging that he was suffering from dementia when he signed over his estate to his caregiver. Banks passed away in January at the age of 83 while he was in the middle of a contentious divorce. Elizabeth Banks claims that her husband was coerced by his caregiver Regina Rice into signing over everything. Rice is backed by the testimony of two paralegals who testified that Banks had proper mental capacity during the notarization of the will changes. This sad case highlights the need to plan ahead; people should seek out an experienced estate planning attorney to weigh options.
