Maya Angelou Estate Tax Sale Starts Today
Starting today, general public can purchase items that once belonged to legendary author Dr. Maya Angelou. The estate tax sale, being conducted by Laster’s Fine Art and Antiques, will run from Thursday, August 6 through Saturday, August 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the author’s home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Those attending the estate tax sale will be given the opportunity to choose from a large selection of Maya Angelou’s personal property with prices ranging from $10 to $35,000. There will be thousands of books on sale as well as “paintings, sculptures, cooking utensils and furniture.” Maya Angelou was well known for writing the classic novel I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings.
