Mid-Year Report Shows Increase In Charitable Giving
The amount of charitable giving has been strong in the first half of 2015 according to a report put out by the Atlas of Charitable Giving. There has been an increase in giving compared to this time in 2014 that can likely be attributed to factors like a stronger economy, low gas prices, lower unemployment, and low interest rates. This report lists even more contributing factors that are encouraging people to give more. The results can vary depending on what sector of the economy is being analyzed. Sectors that are continuing to lag include Churches and Health. The updated forecast in charitable giving does not show a bonanza, but it does show an improvement in the amount of giving.
