New Zealand Man Donates Fortune To Animal Charities

Article PictureA New Zealand man with a love of nature recently donated $1 million to the Endangered Species Foundation. The man, who is reportedly fascinated by lizards, made the donation to help the Foundation reach the $30 million fund raising goal that has been set for 2020. In addition, about $200,000 was donated to several other charities devoted to the support and upkeep of the unique ecology of New Zealand. The donated funds will be used for upkeep of two sanctuaries for tuatara, a type of lizard, which will be used to raise and release the lizard back into the wild.
