Tom Benson’s Trust Fund Dispute Set For 2016 Trial Date

I have previously discussed the legal dispute involving the trust accounts that hold ownership shares in both the Saints and Pelicans.  Benson is attempting to change the trusts beneficiary designation from his daughter to his wife.  The billionaire is seeking to cut his relatives out of ownership of the teams after a falling out in late 2014.  Tom Benson’s children are challenging his mental competency, and a trial date has been set for June 20, 2016.
