Gerry Beyer (Professor of Law, Texas Tech University School of Law) recently published an article entitled, Potpourri, REPTL Rept. 53-4, at 3 (2015). Provided below is an excerpt from the article:

Although trusts and estates lawyers deal with the depressing topics of death and disability, it appears that they are among the happiest lawyers. Their other jovial colleagues include tax lawyers and government contract lawyers. On the other end of the spectrum are the unhappy lawyers who practice in the areas of renewable energy, insurance, communications, media, and entertainment. I guess dirt lawyers are Spock‐like and are neither happy nor unhappy.
