National Estate Planning Awareness Week Is Coming Up
Every year the third week of October is designated the National Estate Planning Awareness Week thanks to a law passed by the United States House of Representatives in 2008. The resolution to designate a week to estate planning was passed because of concerns by members of congress about the estimated 120,000,000 Americans that are not protected by up-to-date estate plans. Proper estate planning is essential for taking control over the orderly distribution of assets after a person dies. It is extremely important for people to put together an up-to-date estate plan by consulting the expert advice and assistance of a professional estate planner. The National Estate Planning Awareness Week will run from October 19-25, 2015.
