Sister Of Jimi Hendrix Seeks Return Of Guitar Owned By Late Brother

ArticleThe sister of legendary musician Jimi Hendrix is seeking the return of a Black Widow guitar that belonged to her late brother at his death. The guitar had been in the possession of the family company that controls Hendrix’s estate but allegedly disappeared in 2007 after the divorce of Hendrix’s sister from a former member of Earth, Wind, and Fire. The estate learned the guitar was no longer in their possession when it was contacted by an auction house seeking authentication of the instrument. The suit to recover the guitar is pending in a Arizona court with the current owner stating that he legitimately purchased the instrument and will not sell it during while the suit remains pending.
